Martin Knebel

Martin is an enthusiastic ambassador for Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm.  A nonagenarian, whose energy and enthusiasm belie his age, he is a regular attendee of the weekly reading group. He creates poems and cartoons to delight and amuse, combining an acute perception of the human condition with a warm and sometimes wicked sense of humour.  Originally from London Martin studied Forestry and worked in the timber trade before changing career mid-life to become administrator of Saltram House in Devon, a National Trust stately home.
